DNA has all the information to build life. But this wholesome information is precisely decoded to give rise to different cell types. Transcription Factors (TFs), a small set of the proteome, with their ability to bind DNA, play a crucial role in the decoding process. Our mission is to understand the fundamentals of TF binding to DNA and translate them into tools for social well-being. TF binding is influenced by numerous factors within the nucleus. A few examples are chemical modifications on DNA and histone complexes bound to DNA. Our goal is to probe those and infer TF binding precisely. In translational settings, it enables us to design a minimally invasive screening and monitoring tool for diseases like cancer.
